2020 Week 8 DFS Plays on Draftkings

Lou Sherman (@Loudogsports)

Last Week’s team (232.40 total, ~180 cash line):

Kyler Murray (41.10)

Alvin Kamara (22.80)

Kareem Hunt (19.20)

Tyler Lockett (56.00)

Christian Kirk (20.70)

Terry McLaurin (22.00)

Jared Cook (12.20)

Jamaal Williams (21.40)

WAS Football Team (17.00)

Jimmy Garoppolo ($5400) gets his turn at the Seahawks defense that have been allowing the most fantasy points in the league. Kirk Cousins is the only QB to NOT throw over 300 yards on them this season.

Others to Consider:

Joe Burrow ($6200) should continue to have volume with Joe Mixon out once again. The game against Tennessee is expected to have a lot of pace, and Burrow should continue to flourish.

Alvin Kamara ($8200) will always be locked into my lineups when Michael Thomas is out. He’s putting up amazing stats for fantasy this season. Lock in at least 20 points and move on.

Kareem Hunt ($6900) is the lead back for a home favorite in a game with high winds (up to 50mph gusts). Hunt’s involvement in short passing routes makes him prime for 20+ fantasy points this week against a weak Raiders defense.

Off the Board:

Josh Jacobs ($6200) is on the other side of that windy game in Cleveland that we expect to have fantasy goodness in. Jacobs has yet to reach 100 yards in a game this year, but with high winds I could see the Raiders leaning on the run, especially near the end zone.

Others to Consider:

Jamaal Williams ($6100) is in play again, as the Packers showed he would be a bell cow with passing work. Melvin Gordon ($5600) should take the bulk of the RB carries for the Broncos in a revenge game against his former Chargers who he notoriously held out with last season. Feed Gordon the ball in this one.

Keenan Allen ($6200) is simply too cheap for a guy with over 30% target share in a plus matchup. Herbert locks on to Allen all game, and I expect another easy 10 targets in this one.

Rashard Higgins ($4200) did not get priced up with Odell’s injury giving him more opportunity this week. Mayfield has shown trust in Higgins in the past, especially around the end zone, so Higgins is my favorite part of the passing attack in this game.

Off the Board:

I am not afraid of Jaire Alexander shadowing Adam Thielen ($7200), who has had over 100 yards and a TD in 3 of the 6 games against the Packers since Jaire has entered the league.

Others to Consider:

Brandon Aiyuk ($5800) pairs well with Jimmy G and has the most favorable matchup for WR this week. Tyreek Hill ($6700) is cheaper than I would expect, in a game where the Chiefs are favored by 20 points. That means we expect at least 3 TD from the Chiefs, and I don’t think the Jets have anyone who can really contain Tyreek.

Darren Waller ($5600) has one of the best TE matchups possible in the Browns this week. If we expect the wind to matter in this one, Carr should be feasting on Waller and his short routes, which the Browns have not been able to defend all season.

Others to Consider:

Jonnu Smith ($4100) had his price drop, putting him back in play for me. The Bengals have been weak against the TE, allowing 6 TD in the past 3 weeks to the position. Albert Okwuegbunam ($2800) saw 7 targets last week, even with Fant playing in this game. The WR corps of the Broncos are riddled with injuries, so I expect them to play a lot of 2 TE sets once again.
