It’s week 13 and you know what that means, it’s playoff time baby! Depending on your league you may already be in the playoffs or just one week away, either way, you need to ride your big dogs into the promised land.
So without further ado, let’s break down some of the hottest fantasy players right now who can’t let you down this week.
1st Down | Keenan Allen – WR, Los Angeles Chargers
If not for the superhero performances of Antonio Brown and Julio Jones over the last few weeks, it could easily be argued that Allen has been the best receiver in the league throughout November.
With 338 yards, 3 touchdowns and an average fantasy score of 37.2 points over the last two weeks, Allen has quietly revitalized his season and is surprisingly ranked as WR5 with over 1000 receiving yards too.
With a week 13 matchup against the winless and demoralized Cleveland Browns who have given up 22 passing touchdowns so far this season (which is tied for the 3rd worst record in the NFL) Allen and the Chargers should be looking to ‘bolt-ster’ their stats. See what I did there?
Predictions – 125+ receiving yards and 2 touchdowns
2nd Down | Alvin Kamara – RB, New Orleans Saints
No one has been more dynamic or explosive in the NFC than Alvin Kamara. The rookie has been the Saints talisman this season and is who they turn to whenever they need a big play.
Whilst definitively locking up the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, Kamara has also been enjoying an outstanding fantasy season. Considering he was not a highly touted player entering this season, being ranked as the RB3 at the week 13 mark of the season is nothing short of spectacular.
Do you want another crazy stat? Kamara hasn’t put up less than 24.8 fantasy points since week 8. Even facing off against the Panthers 3rd ranked rush defense, Kamara should have no problems rolling your team into the playoffs.
Predictions – 115+ scrimmage yards and 1 touchdown
3rd Down | Le’Veon Bell – RB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Much like Keenan Allen has, Bell has also quietly snuck up the fantasy ranks. After a similarly quiet start to the season, Bell has racked up both the yardages and the touchdowns to call himself the RB2 and you can bet he won’t stop there.
In a rivalry match against the Bengals, Bell and the Steelers will be looking to keep their stellar season going and roll over their enemy. You can expect Bell to have a huge workload due mostly to the fact he is facing up against the 5th worst rushing defense in the league, a fact that Bell and his owners must be relishing.
Predictions – 130+ scrimmage yards and 2 touchdowns
4th Down | Brandin Cooks – WR, New England Patriots
Cooks has arguably been the most important addition to this Pats team in 2017 and has been on a tear as of late. Averaging 80 receiving yards per game for this season and having scored 20+ fantasy points and a touchdown in each of his last two outings, it’s more than plausible to believe this streak will continue.
This is due to nothing more than the Patriots face up against the Buffalo Bills in week 13, a team which they have owned for the best part of two decades, and the 11th worst pass defense in the NFL. With Brady attempting to zero in on home-field advantage through the playoffs, you can bet he will be utilizing the most dynamic threat on the field and Cooks owners can take that to the bank.
Predictions – 100+ receiving yards and 1 touchdown
