This whole week has been shaken up by injury and suspension news.
When constructing cash lineups this week I think you want to focus on getting in 3 top-tier RBs. I think that Kareem Hunt, Todd Gurley, and Adrian Peterson are the way to go here. Hunt is coming off his first game as a pro where he was held under 100 yards from scrimmage. That will revert to normal this week. Gurley is an every-week cash play at this price point. He’s one of the hottest plays of Week 9 and the foreseeable future. Volume and TD upside are there for him. Peterson could be viewed as a risky play for cash but with Drew Stanton behind the Center, AD will have to be featured prominently in their offense.
In GPP constructs, I think receiving backs Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara are the guys to build around depending on your stacks. McCaffrey is a poor man’s James White and James White has absolutely destroyed the Falcons pass D. Kamara has a chance at every down work in a positive game script. We all know how Sean Payton reacted to Mark Ingram fumbling last year. If Ingram is in the doghouse, Kamara will be one of the hottest pays of Week 9.
At WR, we are obviously paying down in cash in order to get those high-priced RBs. But with Devin Funchess’ affordable price, I am completely comfortable with that. The last time he played without Benjamin, Funch saw 10 targets. Lord Aldrick is another cash staple this week. There’s a good chance that Patrick Peterson shadows Marquise Goodwin (sad state of affairs) which will leave Robinson against a sub-par CB.
At TE, I really like Cameron Brate and Jack Doyle. Both have been consistent in their targets and point production this season.
